After spending 15 minutes looking for this again, I thought I should repost this too for anyone looking to start a YouTube video at a certain time in the video.
OMG – After posting this I discovered the obvious and much simpler solution:
Click on “Share” for any video, then click on “show options”, click on “Start at”. Pointed out by rainerfilm on YouTube.
Pay attention to the “#” number sign. All you have to do is add this to the end of the URL copied from your video. The link will start at 0 minutes and 40 seconds. Just change the numbers to the time you need and Voila! Or if you would like a shorter URL you can remove all the information after the “&” ampersand and paste in the “#t=0m40s”
Now I’ve spend 30 min more just posting this but hopefully you won’t have to trudge through tons of videos w BS answers that are SUPER COMPLICATED and don’t work!
So you got a cool Mighty Wallet as a present, congrats!
But what will you do with that old school wallet now? Don’t throw it out, donate it to this cool cause. Heather Hutton’s newest art project “Empty Wallets” is an Art Exhibit dedicated to the unemployed, that will open in the fall of 2012. Check out the official page http://on.fb.me/thAjTH to learn more about this project and Heather’s inspiring story.
We recently received this email from Heather describing the motivation for her project:
In 2009, I was unemployed and couch homeless. I went door to door just about to find work or paint houses for food. Eventually I had to close my bank account at Bank of America because I literally had no money. It dawned on me that there was no point in carrying a wallet if I didn’t have any cash, so I cast my wallet in metal. It was the first 3D self portrait I have created in cast iron. The title of the piece is called “Empty”, which described my life in more ways than one that year.
I had two art shows to prepare for with no money and no real place to live; a metals show with other metal artists and an installation at Ironwood Studios called “A Mine Field of a Precious Memory” dedicated to someone dear to me, I lost. Niether show could have been a success with out the help of people in the Knoxville community “paying it forward” to me. I wrote an article about this experience that was posted in the Knoxville Metro Pulse. It’s my closing statement to the year 2009 and grace towards those who helped me along the way. I hope you enjoy the story.
I know that many of our contest entrants have been disappointed with the results of the process and so I wanted to create a special post for logging all your recommendations for the next contest here. With the next “That Should be a Mighty Wallet” Contest slated to be launched in February I want to pull all your suggestions together now. Some ideas that have come out have been to have sections for different mediums such as illustrations, photography, collage etc. Other suggestions were to having a larger pool of Finalists selected.
Being an artist myself and having been rejected from many contests that I’ve entered I know that not being selected is disappointing. My goal for this project was to motivate other artists to participate with the Mighty Wallet canvas and to open the process up to outside designers. That is still my goal and I hope with your help I can create a process that achieves that goal.
Last year we learned of the inspiring story of Brian Christopher who was, at the time, a homeless Navy Vet who had found a Mighty Wallet® full of cash without any ID in the streets of Boston. Faced with a moral dilemma of wanting to buy gifts for his own kids he nobly decided to turn the Mighty Wallet® in to a local Police station. Thanks to a receipt in the wallet the Police found the original owner, a bike messenger, who was reunited with her Mighty Wallet® and $173 in cash.
Brian’s gesture was rewarded with an outpouring of generosity from all around the country in the form of letters, media attention and donations to Brian and Veteran’s associations in recognition of the valor that our service men and women uphold even under the toughest of circumstances.
When we learned that Brian was also an Artist we thought we could potentially create a unique opportunity to further his artistic ambitions and give him a means of financial stability by inviting him to create his very own Mighty Wallet® which Dynomighty could sell and distribute throughout the world. We immediately reached out to Brian and put a plan together to realize this opportunity.
This Summer Dynomighty invited Brian to NYC for an artistic collaboration to make a Mighty Wallet® with his art. The result was one of the best Mighty Wallet designs we’ve produced which has given us great hope for the financial success of Brian’s own Mighty Wallet. It is currently being considered for inclusion in a major specialty store retailer for 2012.
Mighty Wallet is about personal expression and creative empowerment and we are honored to create a platform for Brian’s artwork to give him recognition for his artistic ability and for his honorable action, both in his service to our country and his selfless act that moved so many people to donate to Veterans Shelters last year.
Brian’s simple act of calling upon his better angels when faced with a challenge is emblematic of what we believe it means to “Be Mighty!”.
